What is Plone?
Plone is an Open Source Content Management System (CMS) that is built using Zope, an object oriented application server. The language that drives Zope and Plone is Python.
Who uses Plone?
It is currently being used by the CIA, Google, Ebay, Disney, Motorola, HP, NASA, and the government of New Zealand among many others.

Plone
is 'technology neutral' can interoperate with most relational database
systems, open source and commercial, and runs on a vast array of
platforms, including Linux, Windows, Mac OS X, Solaris and BSD.
